Last week, a conversation left me quietly unsettled. A fellow advocate for women’s empowerment voiced a perspective I’ve heard beforeโone that places the weight of progress squarely on women’s shoulders. “We’ve lost our grit,” she argued. “We’ve internalized society’s limits instead of fighting back.” Her words echoed a subtle but pervasive narrative: If women aren’t thriving, it’s because we aren’t trying hard enough.
