In an era where digital interactions play a significant role in our lives, it’s crucial to understand potential online threats and learn responding strategies.

Within the framework of the Erasmus+ Project OnSafe, Digital Leadership Institute has developed a series of workshops on sexually related online risks: understanding and preventing:

  •   Sexting: consensual or non-consensual sending or receiving of sexual images and/or texts via mobile and other devices (including appearing in such images) among peers
  •   Sextortion: means of coercing victims to perform sexual favours or to pay a hefty sum in exchange for the non-exposure of their explicit images, videos, or conversations
  •   Non-consensual intimate image abuse: the online distribution of sexually graphic photographs or videos without the consent of the individual in the images

The aim of the workshops is:

  • Become aware of different online threat types
  • Understand how a harassments case is set to recognise its signs early on
  • Learn the coping mechanises and responding strategies

The project focuses at equipping people (especially young) with the necessary knowledge, skills and tools to prevent being exposed to sexually related online threats. The online presence is nowadays a reality for almost everyone, especially young people and as parents (and grandparents), we need to be aware of the online risks young people are exposed to, so to be able to help them.

Each workshop is interactive so that the participants can learn how to react in case of potential threats.

The duration of each workshop/ topic is 45 min and can be done online or in person.

GWMH will organise an on line workshop with the OnSafe project. You will be informed very soon
