Mariela Caputo is a medical doctor and specialist in neuroscience applied to education, with over 20 years of experience in neuroeducation and neurodidactics. She earned her medical degree from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and has dedicated her career to integrating neuroscience with educational practice, especially in the area of early reading and early learning.

She is the executive and scientific director of NEDUTEC (Neuroscience, Education, and Technology) and the founder of GNOSISKIDS, where she leads projects aimed at bringing the advances of neuroscience into the classroom. Furthermore, she serves as the director of the kindergarten level at Colegio San Carlos and as an educational advisor for various institutions.

In the field of applied research, Caputo designed the Strategic Plan for the Acquisition of Initial Reading (PEALI), an approach that seeks to optimize comprehension and memory processes involved in learning literacy. Her work also addresses the educational inclusion of children with diverse needs, creating flexible and personalized methodologies that combine neurodidactic strategies with the use of educational technology.

She has received various awards, including:

  • Sadosky Award 2021 for innovation in school education.

  • I+D+i Award 2024, Italian Hospital

  • Accésit Innovactora Argentina 2025, for her project “Health, Education, and Technology”
